Snape hurried to Dumbledore's office.
Oh, Merlin, what am I going to do? Snape thought franticly.
On the outside though, Snape looked as calm as could be. Hermione was also hurrying, but it was so she could
keep up with her professor. She looked down at the small child that she held.
He looks cute as a baby. Hermione thought idly (Not like that. Sorry HP/HG Shippers it was in a friendly
The only thing the baby was wearing was Older Harry's Hogwarts robes. The child seemed content, sleeping in Hermione's
arms. They finally reached the gargoyle and Snape said the password, hurried up the stairs, and knocked on the door.
"Please, enter, Severus." Dumbledore's voice said through the door.
Snape opened the door saying, "Albus, we have a problem."
"Sit, and let's discuss this 'problem'." Dumbledore said gesturing to the two chairs in front of his desk.
As they sat Dumbledore offered them some lemon drops. They refused.
"Now, Ms. Granger, I believe you are holding the problem. Am I correct?" Dumbledore asked her kindly with a twinkle
in his eye.
"Yes, sir." She replied.
"How did this happen."
"I don't really know, sir."
"Just tell me what you know."
"I was sitting next to Harry and I was revising for a quiz we have on Friday and Harry was reading some muggle
book. Suddenly his potion started hissing. We both looked up and them it exploded I got out of the way, but Harry got splashed
with it then fell to the floor yelling in pain. When Professor Snape got over there Harry started shrinking until he was like
this. That's all I know." Hermione told them.
"Thank you, Ms. Granger. Why don't you take Harry up to Gryffindor Tower? The professor who will be taking care
of him will come retrieve him later. And before you go…" Dumbledore waved his wand and the robe turned into a little
outfit. "I believe you can now head back. Needless to say Mr. Weasley will want to know what happened."
"Thank you, Professor." She answered exiting the office.
Halfway back to Gryffindor Tower, Harry awoke. He leaned back and blinked at her sleepily.
"Did you have a nice nap, Harry?" she cooed softly to the baby.
He smiled shyly in response. While they were walking Harry looked around at everything around him. Finally they
got back to Gryffindor Tower.
"Password?" the Fat Lady asked her, eyeing Harry.
"Phoenix Fire." Hermione replied.
The portrait opened to reveal the Common Room. She clambered inside; with Harry still looking wide eyed at the
portrait, and noticed that it was only the sixth years in the room.
"Hey, Hermione. Who's baby and where's Harry?" Ron asked her, giving her a strange look.
The rest of the sixth years looked curious, but stayed silent.
"Ron, the baby is Harry." Hermione told him.
There was an outburst of 'What?!' and 'No way!'. But what really caught Hermione's attention was the whimpers
coming from Harry. The child had buried his head into her shoulder and was trembling along with the whimpers.
"Stop! You're scaring him." Hermione said over them.
They shut up instantly.
"Sorry." Ron said sheepish.
There were murmurs of agreement.
"Shhh…it's okay…it's okay, Harry." She said rubbing the child's back in soothing circles.
Finally the child calmed down and they sat him down on the rug with a bottle Hermione conjured. And Hermione
started telling them the story of how this came to be.
